Most Designtalks websites are built on the WordPress CMS due to its flexibility and scalability. E-commerce stores are primarily built using WooCommerce (the E-commerce plugin for WordPress) or occasionally Shopify, depending on the initial project scope and client needs. If you are unsure, you can find this detail in your original project handover documentation or by submitting a ticket.
How do I access my website's Content Management System (CMS)?
For WordPress and most other platforms, you can access your CMS by adding /wp-admin (for WordPress) or /admin (for other systems) to the end of your website’s main URL (e.g., www.yourwebsite.co.za/wp-admin). You will log in using the unique credentials provided to you during the project handover phase. If you have misplaced your login details, please submit a ticket for a secure password reset.
How often will I receive my Digital Marketing or SEO report?
Reporting frequency is determined by your specific Digital Marketing or SEO Package.
Standard Packages: Typically include a monthly performance report and review meeting.
Premium Packages: May include bi-weekly updates and a detailed monthly analysis. Your dedicated Designtalks Account Manager will ensure reports are delivered on the agreed schedule.
Where can I review my Google Ads (PPC) performance data?
Your campaign performance data is typically available in one of two ways:
Client Dashboard: We often set up a custom, shared dashboard (e.g., using Google Data Studio/Looker Studio) that you can access 24/7.
Monthly Reporting: Detailed breakdowns, analysis, and strategic summaries are provided within your Google Ads PPC monthly report from your Account Manager.
What is included in my Web Maintenance package?
Our Web Maintenance packages are designed to keep your site secure, fast, and up-to-date. Common inclusions are:
Regular Core, Theme, and Plugin Updates.
Monthly Security Scans and Bug Fixing.
Off-site Daily/Weekly Backups.
Uptime Monitoring.

How do I get my final brand files and usage guidelines?
Once the design is approved and final payment is received, your completed Logo Design and Brand Strategy files are delivered securely via a dedicated cloud folder (e.g., Google Drive or Dropbox). This package includes:
Logo files in various formats (AI, EPS, PNG, JPEG) for both print and web.
A comprehensive Brand Guidelines document detailing colour codes (HEX, CMYK), typography, and proper logo usage.

This is considered a high-priority issue. Please follow these steps:

When are regular backups performed for my website?
Backups are crucial for security. For clients on a Designtalks hosting and Web Maintenance package, full site backups are typically performed daily and retained for a period of 30 days. We also perform a manual backup before any major site update or development work.
What are the Payment Terms for Website & SEO Packages?
Website Packages: A typical structure is a 50% deposit to commence the project, followed by the remaining 50% upon final website sign-off and before launch.
SEO Packages / Digital Marketing / Web Maintenance: These are subscription-based services billed monthly in advance, with payment due on the 1st of each month unless otherwise specified in your contract.
